Child Protective Service Plan
A cornerstone of ACS’s mandate is protecting New York City’s children. Insuring child safety has implications for virtually every aspect of ACS programming. The most recent child protective plan was issued in 2006 and updated in 2007. Important elements to fulfilling ACS’s role involve community coalition building to work with families at home, preventive services to provide more intense assistance and ultimately foster care if necessary.
