Improved Outcomes for Children and Family Team Conferencing
Family Team Conferencing (FTC) represents a process for engaging family, community members, foster parents and relative caregivers as well as agency and ACS staff in critical decisions related to child safety, placement (preservation), well-being and permanency. This section provides references to actions taken by ACS to implement FTC as part of Improved Outcomes for Children (IOC). The underlying work was undertaken by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The section also includes accounts of the experience of several staff of agencies in New York City that are participating in the IOC pilot program.
